Our commitment to you


We will turn up at the stated time for lessons. If this is not possible due to unforeseen circumstances such as traffic congestion the time will be added to the end of the lesson or made up on a subsequent lesson. If the delay is expected to be greater than 10 min we will text you.


The tuition car will always be in good working order and serviced as per manufacturers recommendations using quality parts.


The tuition vehicle will be fully insured.


Your instructor will always behave in a polite and professional manner.


We will not stop during your lesson to answer the phone or call in at the shop or for any other reason not related to your driving lesson.


We will not smoke during your lesson.


We will always abide by ADI voluntary Code of Practice (details can be found by following link www.gov.uk/guidance/adi-voluntary-code-of-practice )


Your personal data will not be shared with third parties (except when booking theory or driving tests with your consent)


Your commitment to us


You will be expected to turn up for your lessons at the prearranged date, time and location.


You will be fit to drive. If it is suspected you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs the lesson will not commence.


You must notify your instructor if you take any medication or have a medical condition that may effect you ability to drive.


You must hold a valid provisional licence.


You must provide your driving licence and either a check code or your national insurance number to enable your licence to be checked.


You eyesight must be of the required standard (details can be found by following link www.gov.uk/driving-eyesight-rules )


You must inform your instructor of any changes in your details such as telephone number and address.


You must inform your instructor if you are convicted of any motoring offences.


Whenever you are driving the tuition vehicle you will be under close supervision, however, Acorn School of Motoring cannot be held responsible for any infringement of the law. Any fines or penalties incurred will be the responsibility of the driver.


Payments


Lessons must be paid in advance or at the commencement of the lesson.


A £100 non refundable deposit must be paid at the time of booking an intensive course and full payment must be made in advance or at the commencement of the course.


Payments can be made by cash, credit/debit card or bank transfer.


The price quoted for lessons will not be increased while you are taking a course of lessons unless you take a break of more than six months in which case there may be an increase in price.


Cancellation Policy


If lessons are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice the full lesson fee will be charged.


In the unlikely event of your instructor cancelling a lesson with less than 24 hours notice you will be offered an alternative time as soon as possible. You will also be given 30 min free tuition on a subsequent lesson. This does not apply if the lesson is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.


If a block booking is cancelled prior to the first lesson being taken a full refund will be given.


If a block booking is cancelled after lessons have been taken a refund will be given but lessons already taken will be charged at standard hourly rate.
